How do I book in for an appointment?
- Please call the office on 01664 490440 and we will book you in an appointment as soon as possible.
- On booking the first appointment, we will need to know your name, your horses name, a contact telephone number, the address where the horse is stabled and a rough idea of the reason for the visit/ nature of the problem.
How do I register with Hoermann Equine?
- Please call the office on 01664 490440 to arrange registration with the practice.
- To register with the practice we will require full contact details including email address and phone number. The office will record full details of each horse including passport and microchip numbers plus insurance status.
What happens if I have an emergency?
- Keep calm and call us on 01664 490440. Accidents do happen and we understand the stress of the situation you may be in. One of our experienced vets will be with you as soon as possible.
How do I pay for my appointment?
- Usually visits are invoiced on site using our on-board computer system and can be paid for using most major credit and debit cards.
- All new clients will be expected to pay in full at the time of initial examination. Follow up visits can be invoiced.
Do I have to bring my horse somewhere for X-rays etc?
- No. All our vets do have modern wireless digital X-ray and a ultrasound scanner permanently in the car which can readily be used; making it unnecessary for you to travel. Also, shockwave, gastroscopy and endoscopy will be performed on the yard.
What can I expect from the first visit?
- We will thoroughly assess the problem followed by discussing possible solutions with you before coming to a successful conclusion.
Will you have the history of my horse when you visit again?
- Yes. Our on-board computer system allows quick access to patient histories and notes.
Are all vets of the same experience level?
- Yes, give or take, we all are senior clinicians able to deal with or manage all cases; however individual vets may have preferences and therefore more experience in one or more disciplines which will either be sent initially to deal with a specific problem or are readily available for second opinions.
